CBT Newtownabbey

Do your relationships with other people suffer because of interpersonal tension?

People often feel annoyed because of how they interpret the general situation around them or even the actions of others. When events happen which challenge our sense of “fair play”, resentments often build and eventually these resentments spill over into angry outbursts (commonly against those people nearest to us).

From a biological perspective, human anger and human fear share many physiological similarities, and the distinction between the two can often be blurred. In fact, it's not unusual for angry outbursts to actually be a response to a feeling of fear.

We can examine those beliefs and attitudes which gives rise to your sense of irritation, and we can look at whether there might be other more realistic interpretations of the world around us........
